SOME TWO YEAR OLD WINNERS

STRIKE RATE OF 80% 2yo WINNERS TO RUNNERS

IRISH GIRL

Irish Girl has the unique distinction of five wins in three different countries.

"what a horse, five wins for five starts with an average winning distance of four lengths, finishing her campaign off in style with a Conditions win in Italy"

                 George Gorgiev

MID WINSTER

Mid Winster really gave an indication of what Burwaaz is capable of. An impressive winner of a Curragh maiden, followed up two weeks later with a close 4th in a hot Listed contest.

"a lovely filly to train, I would love a few more Burwaaz horses to train"             Andrew Slattery

LADY LAVINA

After a couple of respectable efforts over the minimum trip Lady Lavinia was stepped up to 7f with immediate results of a win and two placings.

"Lady Lavinia sparkled at home so we could not work out why she was not winning until we stepped her up in trip. She will make into a very nice 3yo with another Winter under her belt"

Other 2yo performers include Akbar, winning her maiden in impressive style.

Harperelle from the Karl Burke stable was placed 2nd,2nd&3rd from her first three starts

WHAT THE BREEDERS ARE SAYING ABOUT BURWAAZ

Horse Stall

Burwaaz is a sire that has done so well for us. Irish Girl was our mares first winner who is unbeaten in five starts without ever coming off the bridle. We will continue to support Burwaaz this season.                  Mossie Byrne, Giltown Lodge Stud.

Burwaaz has made a great start with his first limited number of 2yos. He ticks all the boxes. I recommend Burwaaz to breeders.

Seamus Kennedy, breeder of Total Gallery & Mazameer.

VIEW FROM AGENTS AND TRAINERS

Horse Racing

Delighted with the way Mid Winster has improved over the winter. We will definitely be sending Burwaaz some mares this breeding season.

Andrew Slattery, racehorse trainer

I have recommended Burwaaz to a number of my clients. A fantastic individual. Foals are very prococious, correct and stamped very well.

Mick Kelly, Bloodstock agent.

Trained by Ed Dunlop during his racing days, Burwaaz quickly made into a high-class performer during his two year old campaign.

He was beaten a nose in a Nottingham maiden on his racecourse debut over six-furlongs, before a drop to the minimum trip saw him get off the mark in emphatic fashion at Leicester shortly after.

He was officially rated 109 at his peak and Timeform commented on his juvenile campaign:

"his season has been a success, in the frame in four Group Sprints...he is the sort to make up into an even better three-year-old."

His former trainer picks up the story: “This horse was very unlucky not to be a Group winner at two...third in the Gimcrack, second in the Molecomb and a short head second in the Flying Childers.....a great horse to have in the yard.”

Misfortune ensured that Burwaaz was only sighted twice on a racecourse at three, though he still managed to be Listed-placed twice, and he continued to run with enormous credit as an older horse, including when third in the Stewards’ Cup. Retiring sound of wind and limb.

His pedigree adds further embellishment to his stallion prospects.

The dam Nidhaal was a Listed-winner at two rated officially 107, whilst the further family includes such outstanding performers as the multiple G1 and Classic winners Assert and Bikala and the G1 Classic winner Eurobird.

Another on the pedigree is the promising stallion Pounced. A Breeders Cup winner and now emerging leading Sire.

By the top class Australian sprinter Exceed And Excel .... a prolific source of 2yos.....Champion Sire in Australia and now an established Sire of Sires.

Burwaaz offers breeders a low cost option to buy into a serious stallion line which is growing in stature each year.
